DBasia.news – Two years wandering from Spain, Fernando Llorente is possibly returning there. In two recent seasons, Llorente has been playing for two Premier League clubs, Swansea City (now in the second division) and Tottenham Hotspur.
However, the 33-year-old player’s decision to join The Lilywhites apparently was a bad decision. He couldn’t show his accuracy due to lack of playing minutes for Mauricio Pochettino regular squad.
Llorente just scored 6 goals from 37 matches in all Spurs competitions since his arrival. In 2018/2019 season, the former Athletic Bilbao player just played 6 matches and contributed one goal.
Seeing Llorente’s declining situation, he is predicted won’t renew the contract ending in 2018/2019. The striker also sends the signal that he won’t continue his career in Spurs by stating that the Spanish player is interested to return to LaLiga.
“I’ve been away from home for many years, I’d love to go back to La Liga,” Llorente said quoted by FourFourTwo.
In the recent match against PSV Eindhoven, he helped Spurs gained the 2-1 victory by scoring one assist for the equalizer goal by Harry Kane.
