DBasia.news – AS Roma legend, Francesco Totti, unveiled the reason of Alisson Becker transfer to Liverpool. According to him, Il Giallorossi won’t refuse the 75 million euro (Rp1,2 trillion) offering for the Brasil national team goalkeeper.
After being the target of some clubs, Alisson is going to The Reds. England media reported, Liverpool spent £66M or 75 million euro to get the player.
This number made Alisson as the most expensive goalkeeper in the world, beating Ederson Moraes and Gianluigi Buffon.
But many AS Roma supporters were protesting for this decision. They assumed, Alisson is one of the key players that shouldn’t be sold despite the high price.
“We’re building a young team for the future. We’ll try to strengthen as soon as possible so that Roma can compete at the top,” Totti told Sky Sport Italia.
“Alisson? The market figures have changed, £65m for a goalkeeper happened for the first time and we couldn’t say no,” said the legend.
“I’m sorry that we’ve lost one of the best goalkeepers in the world, but we’ll try to build a strong team regardless,” he added.
AS Roma is moving fast to use the money from Alisson’s transfer. Recently, The Capitoline Wolf is targetting the Brasil midfielder, Malcom.
