Tuchel suddenly quiet about rumors with Dembele

DBasia.news – Chelsea coach, Thomas Tuchel, opened up about the news of the arrival of Barcelona striker, Ousmane Dembele. After revealing his relationship with Dembele, Tuchel actually contained the information.

Ousmane Dembele is getting closer to leaving Barcelona. In his latest statement, Barca confirmed that they would sell Dembele before the winter transfer window closed.

With only six months remaining on the contract, Dembele’s value is believed to be lower. This condition has made a number of teams interested.

One of them is Chelsea. Thomas Tuchel, who was with Dembele at Borussia Dortmund, reportedly asked management to join in the race. Tuchel is confident that he can return Dembele to his best form.

“Ousmane Dembele is a great player. I was lucky to coach him when he was in charge of Borussia Dortmund,” Tuchel told Chelsea’s official website.

“It lasted only one year. It should have been longer. However, I also had to leave and he also chose to leave,” he explained.

However, the next question arose because Tuchel admitted that he did not know the extent of the negotiation process. The former Paris Saint-Germain tactician chose to keep silent.

“Our relationship is not very close. I only met occasionally when he played with the French national team and I was still in Paris,” said Tuchel.

“I really don’t know why he’s in this situation. I don’t know the details. So it’s best if I don’t talk.”

Barcelona will incur heavy losses for spending up to €140 million when they purchased Ousmane Dembele in 2017. However, the player’s value is believed to be no more than €50 million if sold this winter. In fact, Barca will not get a penny if Dembele leaves at the end of the season.

Moreover, Dembele’s days in Barcelona were mostly spent in the treatment room. In five years, Dembele has only appeared in 129 games with a record of 31 goals and 23 assists.
