Two Potential Luciano Spalletti Substitute: Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho

Luciano Spalletti

DBasia.news –  Luciano Spalletti will not necessarily coach Inter Milan next season. According to news from Football-Italy, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, are the two coaches who have the potential to replace Spalletti.

Both are former Chelsea managers in the past. Mourinho has coached the Blues for two periods, while Conte in the last two seasons and successfully presented the Premier League and FA Cup titles.

But there will be a difference of opinion between the Nerazzurri board of directors. According to Tuttosport, Mourinho will be happy to accept an offer to train Inter if he gets it. The Special One has good memories with Inter.

In 2010 Mourinho gave the treble winners the Serie A, Coppa Italia and Champions League titles to Inter. The Portuguese coach has always had a good relationship with Inter and always speaks well of his former club.

However, Inter is no longer under the era of Massimo Moratti’s leadership, as it has now changed hands from Moratti, Erick Thohir, and now to a Chinese company, Suning Group. Mourinho is no longer a priority.

The CEO of Inter who in fact was former CEO of Juventus, Giuseppe Marotta, and Steven Zhang, Supremo Inter, preferred to appoint Conte as a replacement for Spalletti rather than Mourinho. Marotta already knew Conte as they had been together at Juventus.

Either Conte or Mourinho are currently not training the club at this time. Both are predicted to start training per 2019-20 season. Spalletti’s fate is also believed to be determined at the end of this season, depending on Inter’s achievements.

Samir Handanovic and mates have confirmed to end the season without the trophy. However, they are still given the mission of ending the season in the top four of Serie A or the Champions League zone. An assessment of Spalletti will be assessed from the target.

Inter are currently in third place with 56 points from 30 matches that have been passed. If able to maintain that position, Spalletti is likely to still have the chance to train the club that he has been fostered since 2017.
