DBasia.news – Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho cannot accompany his squad in a 2020-2021 Europa League match. Mourinho was sanctioned after being found guilty of causing the game to start too late.
In Tottenham’s match against Royal Antwerp, last October, the match started a little too late. The reason is because The Lilywhites squad arrived late.
As reported by Sky Sports, Saturday (11/14/2020), the UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Body found Mourinho guilty and punished him. The manager from Portugal is now unable to accompany his team in one match. That means Mourinho will be absent when The Lilywhites meet Ludogorets on the fourth matchday of Group J in the Europa League.
Not only that, Tottenham also received a fine of 25 thousand euros (Rp.418 million). In addition, they were also fined an additional 3 thousand euros (IDR 50 million) for violating equipment regulations.
In that match, Tottenham suffered a 0-1 defeat. Even so, they are currently still at the top of Group J with a score of six points.
