DBasia.news – The results of the UEFA Nations League group draw were published in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Tuesday (03/03). The defending champion, Portugal, were in Group 3 of League A with France, Sweden, Croatia.
Fernando Santos’ Portuguese squad defeated the Netherlands 1-0 in the inaugural edition of the UEFA Nations League last year. Divided into four leagues from League A to D which are categorized from the level of the top European countries, League A contains the strongest countries.
“These are all strong groups with strong teams. We know this will be the result of the draw with a high level of difficulty,” said Fernando Santos, quoted from the official UEFA website.
“Unlike the last time, it was not made up of three teams, but four. So it will always be a difficult group.”
“We face France and then also Sweden and Croatia, both of which are strong opponents too,” explained Fernandos Santos.
