DBasia.news –  Unai Emery was upset to see Arsenal’s 2-3 defeat from Crystal Palace in the London Derby in the Premier League match. Arsenal are considered to have made chances as rival teams: Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United lost.

Instead of utilizing these results to secure the top four, Arsenal actually slipped. Though, they faced Crystal Palace which on paper had no better player material.

Moreover, Mesut Ozil and his mates played in front of their own supporters. Arsenal also lost 2-3 from Crystal Palace, even left behind 1-3.

These results have made competition for the top four run tightly. At least, four competing teams won the remaining two places, including Arsenal.

Unai Emery regretted the results. The Spanish manager believes that Arsenal were throwing away a big opportunity to establish a position in the Champions League zone.

“This defeat is really sad, because we have a great opportunity. Arsenal have many opportunities, a key moment to secure the target of qualifying for the Champions League,” said Unai Emery.

“This is not the first time Arsenal have thrown away a chance, but today is big enough. However, this result does not change our plans for the next match. Everything depends on our performance.”

“I am still optimistic Arsenal can qualify for the Champions League. We have to work hard to secure the top four in the final standings,” Unai Emery added.
