Valencia Midfielder Chose to Support Central African Instead of France

Geoffrey Kondogbia

DBasia.news – Geoffrey Kondogbia decided to support the Central African Republic national team. The decision was taken after he got eliminated from France national team squad that he supported since August 2013.

The Valencia player has the possibility to do his debut this week in the match between Central African against Ivory Coast. Both teams will have a match in the qualification round of 2019 African Cup on October 12 and 16, 2018.

Actually, Kondogbia was born in Nemours, France. The 25-year-old player started his career in the country and made an achievement with the French junior team and became the champion in the 2013 U20 World Cup.

But, Paul Pogba’s teammate has a minor situation because he didn’t get the trust to defend France senior national team. In contrary, Pogba became the key player when Les Bleus won the 2018 World Cup.

Overall, Kondogbia just performed in five matches since the international debut on August 2013 when France played draw with no goal against Belgium in the friendly match. The fact pushed the former Inter Milan player to join the Central African, his ancestral land.

Despite his time supporting France, Kondogbia might move the team because so far he never violates any FIFA regulation. Apparently, all of his performances with France senior national team happened in the friendly or non-competitive match.
