DBasia.news – The 20-year-old Brazilian striker Vinicius Junior has won three trophies this season with Real Madrid. The Brazilian player did not expect to lift a prestigious trophy because of his young age.
This season Vinicius is Zinedine Zidane’s 12th most played player with a total of 1,264 minutes of appearances. Even though he only scored three goals, Vinicius’s contribution in opening the team’s defense was huge.
Vinicius scored in the match against Barcelona at El Clasico and started Karim Benzema’s goal against Atletico Madrid (the winning goal). His dribble record only lost to Eden Hazard with a dribble ball record of 28.72 minutes.
Purchased Real Madrid from Flamengo in 2018 for 46 million euros, in those two years Vinicius developed rapidly in his role as a wing attacker. With Madrid he has won the Club World Cup, the Spanish Super Cup and LaLiga.
His journey in Madrid has just begun. But Vinicius still doesn’t believe in being able to realize the dream of winning a trophy in Madrid at the age of 20.
“Born in Sao Goncalo, in Favelas … (now) 20 years and (won) three trophies at the biggest club in the world. And some say I will not wear this jersey,” Vinicius said as quoted by Marca.
“I think this is not bad, huh? This is a special title, most important in my career and in difficult times as we all live (corona virus pandemic),” he added.
Finally Vinicius also gave a message to those who often criticized his inconsistent performance. No vengeful Vinicius tries to continue to develop his game.
“I know there are people who don’t like me,” Vinicius added.
“Every day I want to practice more, I’m more focused and I’m trying to develop myself to make history,” concluded the player born in Sao Goncalo, Brazil, July 12, 2000.
