Want to Keep Brahim Diaz, AC Milan Discuss Transfer Formula with Madrid

DBasia.news – AC Milan is reportedly keen to keep Brahim Diaz and is struggling to discuss a transfer formula with Real Madrid as its parent club.

Brahim spent last season on loan with the Rossoneri and performed very well there, especially towards the end of last season’s Serie A. As a result, management wants to keep the playmaker for at least one more season.

Throughout the season, the Spain Under-21 player didn’t always have the opportunity to appear from the early minutes, but he was often used by Stefano Pioli as a substitute. Nevertheless, he still managed to score seven goals, with three in the Europa League, and four assists for Milan, which is definitely not a bad record.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri are determined to keep the 21-year-old midfielder for one more season. Negotiations are ongoing with Los Blancos to extend his loan, but this time Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara want to include a purchase option.

Real Madrid wanted a purchase obligation clause, but they realized that doing so would put the transaction at risk.

As such, the La Liga giants are likely to agree on a loan formula with a purchase option and hope that Milan will activate it next summer. Brahim also seems to want to stay at the San Siro considering that there he can get more playing time than at his parent club.
