Jadon Sancho welcomed Manchester United’s match against Watford in the 2021-2022 Premier League continued with enthusiasm. The potential opponent has a special place in his heart.
Manchester United will host Watford at Old Trafford, Saturday (26/2) at 22.00 WIB. The Red Devils must win in order to continue to survive in the top four.
Sancho is almost certain to be one of Manchester United’s mainstays to win. The 21-year-old player has started to return to his best form lately.
Sancho’s motivation will increase because Watford is a club that has helped hone his talent. He entered the Hornets academy when he was only seven years old.
Sancho spent eight years at Watford’s academy. He was then hijacked by Manchester City to finally shine with Borussia Dortmund.
Despite being almost a decade away, Sancho has not been able to completely forget Watford. His capable individual skills turned out to be the result of the knowledge he received there.
“At Watford I used to train a lot of skills and I wanted to show people what I could do. I have kept him throughout my career,” Sancho told the club’s official website.
Interestingly, Sancho also mentioned his foolishness while defending Watford. He admitted that he was once an individualistic player and neglected his team mates.
“At Watford I was very greedy, I never passed! But I have changed and I’m not greedy anymore,” he added.
“While at Dortmund, I learned how to beat a player and give the ball away in difficult situations. That’s why I had so many assists there, and wanted to bring it here.”
