DBasia.news – Paul Pogba’s name continued to resurface after comments from his agent, Mino Raiola, who said his client did not like being at Manchester United and was advised to leave in January 2021.
His comments sparked speculation. Some suggested Pogba to move immediately as he had been rumored to leave for the umpteenth time, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the MU manager chose not to pay too much attention to the issue.
According to him, Pogba remains professional and focuses on playing for MU. This can be seen from his seriousness of playing well in Week 12 of the Premier League at the Manchester Derby. The match ended in a goalless draw and Pogba did well in midfield.
Former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger also commented on the future of the player from his country (France). Wenger, who is now a football pundit, thinks that MU must be firm with Pogba following comments from Raiola.
“I believe you have to explain to the player that whatever his future plans are, his interest and duty is to appear at the club at this time,” said Wenger as quoted by ESPN.
“It’s the best way to prepare for your future, to play well in the present.”
“When I saw Pogba come on Tuesday night against RB Leipzig, I regretted that he didn’t start the game because he immediately had a big impact.”
The 2018 World Cup winner has also spoken out regarding the speculation that is circulating. In his personal Instagram, Pogba affirms his 1000% commitment to MU.
“I’ve always fought and will always fight for Manchester United, my team mates and the fans. Everything else is not important. The future is far ahead, today is important and I am 1000% involved!” emphasized Pogba.
“Being together is always strong, everything has been clear between the club and me and that will never change. If you don’t know what’s going on inside, don’t talk,” he concluded.
