With €5 Trillion, Why Don’t Madrid Recruit New Player?

In this transfer market, Real Madrid lost their megastar player, Cristiano Ronaldo who moved to Juventus. On the other hand, actually, Madrid have much money from the transfer.

Marca reported Los Blancos currently have €300M or around Rp5 trillion that is ready to spend. Having money, but not recruiting. What’s wrong?

Yes, the money is kept for Neymar. Currently, Madrid are still waiting for UEFA decision about the Financial Fair Play investigation for PSG.

Currently, UEFA has appointed an independent audit team who will inspect the financial report of PSG, especially the contract with sponsors. This is the highlight because PSG got three times higher sponsorship budget compared to the usual. There could be something wrong with the payment of Qatar Bank as the sponsor.

Marca reported, if UEFA finds out the violation of PSG, Madrid will come in. The decision will be announced in late August.

But there is also an uncertainty from Madrid, especially after Neymar said that he will stay with PSG, at least for one more season.
