Xavi Pays Special Praise to Pedri

DBasia.news – Barcelona coach, Xavi Hernandez, opened his voice after the Blaugrana beat Valencia with a score of 4-1. Xavi gives special credit to Pedri.

Barcelona dominated by scoring three goals first through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (23′, 38′) and Frenkie de Jong (32′). Although Carlos Soler had time to reduce the situation through his goal in the 52nd minute, but Aubameyang hat-trick (62′) made Barca back away.

“I am very satisfied and happy. We were not as bright or as good in some moments against Napoli. However, we were effective,” Xavi explained after the game as reported by Marca.

“We showed that we can overcome challenges. We suffered in the second half. We lacked time and composure.”

“It was a tough game. It was a game where we had to roll up our sleeves. Another away game where we left satisfied.”

Furthermore, Xavi gave special praise to Pedri. Xavi has no qualms about claiming Pedri is the best talent in football at the moment.

Pedri made a big difference in Barca’s midfield after coming on in the 60th minute for Frenkie de Jong. The Spanish national team player provided an assist for Aubameyang.

“He gave us a break. He didn’t lose the ball. He used both feet,” said Xavi.

“What he does, how he turns and the tempo he manages is fantastic. Pedri is at the top level but is only 19 years old.”

“Pedri is spectacular and there is no bigger prospect in this world than him. We have to pamper him,” continued the legend.

“He made the difference in the game. He won the ball back. It’s amazing to have Pedri. He came on for half an hour and was outstanding,” said Xavi.
