Shaqiri played in Muenchen for three years. In that period, he got two Bundesliga titles, one Champions League, UEFA, DFB Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.

“It’s difficult in the Premier League because you have a lot of big teams, so competition is there. You need to have a really, really good season to compete. At Bayern, they only have the mentality of winning titles. Liverpool are one of the biggest teams in the world,” Shaqiri continued.

Furthermore, Shaqiri admitted Jurgen Klopp made the players realized the chance for the team this season. He believed the coach also demanded the players to work hard inside and outside the pitch.

Interestingly during this occasion, the Switzerland national team player believed Manchester City aren’t their hardest opponent this season. He mentioned Tottenham Hotspur as the deadliest one.

“We need to keep working hard. We are still a young team. Every player wants to go forward and try to be better and to help this big club to be successful. To be successful you need to play for titles. That has to be our aim,” said Shaqiri who joined Liverpool from Stoke City.

“Of course, it’s a big change from Stoke to Liverpool. Liverpool is a big, big team. But I know how to be in a big team because I played at Bayern Munich and I played at Inter Milan. So for me, I knew what it would be like,” the 26-year-old player said.
