Zidane Gave Comments Regarding the Haaland and Mbappe Issues

DBasia.news – Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe are often rumored to be the target of Real Madrid. Coach Zinedine Zidane answered the rumors regarding the two players.

Madrid did not buy players in the summer of 2020. Los Blancos actually let go of many players, but so far Madrid can still lead the LaLiga standings.

During the transfer market, there was Haaland who was reportedly the target of Madrid. Last season, the Norwegian striker appeared top with the costumes of RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund.

Haaland performed superbly with the Norwegian national team in the UEFA Nations League. The 20-year-old striker scored three goals as Norway beat Romania 4-0. Madrid player Martin Odegaard contributed two assists to Haaland.

Zidane praised Haaland’s performance in that match, but insisted that it was not a Madrid player.

“I have watched those games and Martin is not playing like he did at Real Madrid. I am also happy with his performance and when the players are called up by his national team I am happier if they play. Haaland is not my player, but he is a good player,” Zidane said as quoted on the official Real Madrid website.

Mbappe is also included as a player who is rumored to be the target of Madrid. The French player has reportedly been unsure whether to stay at Paris Saint-Germain or not.

“There are so many rumors about Real Madrid regarding some players, but it will not affect the team. The transfer market is closed and we have a team that will fight for everything. That’s what we will try to do,” Zidane confirmed.
