DBasia.news – Zinedine Zidane is reportedly studying English, amid reports linking him to the Manchester United manager’s chair. Code want to train MU?
United are reportedly looking for a new manager to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Baby-Faced Assassin is considered to have failed to boost the performance of the Red Devils and has not won a title since being appointed as the team’s designer since 2018.
One of the coaches who is predicted to be Solskjaer’s replacement is Zidane. The 49-year-old coach is still without a club after leaving Real Madrid in May 2021.
Zinedine Zidane is reportedly interested in becoming the new manager of Manchester United. Even so, there is one thing that hinders Zidane’s desire to MU, namely language communication.
Zidane doesn’t speak English yet, which is the lingua franca in the Manchester United dressing room. Zizou could not help but have to master the international language to communicate with the players.
That’s the language barrier that Zidane wants to overcome. Zidane’s former teammate in the French national team, Emmanuel Petit, claims his compatriot is studying English.
“If you are a manager of a football club, you need to speak a different language. I know Zinedine speaks a different language but I am pretty sure English is not one of them,” Petit said, quoted by The Sun.
“There are so many examples of wrong decisions in football – not necessarily wrong decisions about one’s abilities, but about the right dressing room, considering all the different nationalities.”
“Communication is very important, so if you don’t speak the language when you arrive at a club like Manchester United then it can be a big problem.”
On the one hand, Petit still doesn’t believe Zidane is interested in coaching Manchester United. Zizou may have had success in Spain, but he had no experience in England even when he was active as a footballer.
“I’ve been told he’s been learning English recently so I think he knows it’s important for his career. But Zinedine has been linked with Manchester United – I honestly can’t believe it.”
“Of course, he is a big name but he has never played in the Premier League and has little connection to it. Therefore, as I said, I do not believe in the issue,” said Emmanuel Petit of Zinedine Zidane.
