Zidane wants to release players, Gareth Bale is on the selling list

DBasia.news – Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane will continue his policy of selling a number of squad players ahead of the 2020/2021 La Liga competition. Based on the report by Diario AS, Saturday, September 5, 2020, Zidane wants to raise 100 million euros by releasing Gareth Bale, Sergio Reguilon, Mariano Diaz and Borja Mayoral.

The corona virus pandemic which has had an impact on the financial condition of European clubs has also hit Madrid. As a result, they can only recruit new players if they first sell players in Zinedine Zidane’s squad.

No doubt Madrid currently prefers to recall players who were loaned to other clubs last season, such as Martin Odegaard, who last season defended Real Sociedad.

Two names on Real Madrid’s selling list are James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale. The two of them rarely played under the direction of Zinedine Zidane. James’s fate is better because he is getting closer to reuniting with his former coach, Carlo Ancelotti at Everton.

Compared to James, Bale’s fate is more uncertain. The Welsh player has no problem not being played by Zidane and completing his remaining two-year contract in Madrid, his problem is with the club.

El Real is trying to sell him because of his high salary and is no longer a regular player in Madrid, plus the money from his sales can be used to purchase other new players, but the problem is Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett is good at negotiating.

Barnett has repeatedly insisted that Bale would not leave Madrid until his contract expires. No doubt Madrid is faced with a classic problem in the transfer market this summer: selling Gareth Bale.

Marco Ruiz wrote in the US that it was difficult for Madrid to sell Bale because of his high salary and value.

“Gareth Bale could go twice in recent years. But Real Madrid will now find it almost impossible to get rid of the high-paying Welsh player.”

“If it had been easy, Gareth Bale would have left by now. But apparently not. His high salary and the fact that only a few clubs are willing to make up for him, makes getting rid of him a challenging operation.”

This condition is clearly not ideal for both sides, Madrid pays large salaries for players who rarely appear, while Bale’s condition is not ideal when defending the Wales national team (plus a different playing rhythm).

Ryan Giggs has raised concerns. The Wales national team coach thinks Bale must play more at club level to maintain his fitness. Indirectly, Giggs hopes that Bale can do it in Madrid or leave to another club.

“With the situation, it doesn’t change. I was always happy with Gareth when he came here. He was great around centering and was a role model for everyone,” said Giggs.

“Like any other player, he needs to get more training and playing time.”

“I was happy with Gareth that night when he was able to get 45 minutes of play. He only did two or three days of training. Finland is a strong physical team and it was difficult for us so he will be better during those 45 minutes. “
