Zinedine Zidane Reluctant to Discuss Gareth Bale’s Future at Real Madrid

DBasia.news –  Zinedine Zidane, Real Madrid coach, returned to being firm about Gareth Bale’s future in Madrid. Zidane said he did not know the fate of Bale’s future.

Los Blancos will host Real Betis at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday (19/5) at 17.00 Western Indonesian Time. Zidane insisted that Bale enters into the squad which he included against Betis. However, the Frenchman is not sure if Bale stays in Madrid next season.

“He (Bale) will be part of the squad tomorrow and that’s all the things I can tell you. You will see the team that we will play,” Zidane said, quoted from Sky Sports.

“I don’t know whether it will be the last match (or not). We are at the end of the season and next season there will be changes, but I don’t know whether it will be the last game or not.”

Bale’s transfer speculation has long appeared since the 2018/19 season. The 29-year-old player reportedly left because he was injured, played inconsistently, and did not have good relations with the fans.

Bale, through his agent, Jonathan Barnett, was supposed to want to stay with the club that he has strengthened since 2013. However, Zidane did not include him in the plan to play for next season until rumors of his departure became more widely circulated.
