DBasia.news – Gareth Bale’s Agent once said that his client wanted to stay with Real Madrid, but the coach, Zinedine Zidane was rumored to not want him. Zidane responded curtly to his comment.
During the match of week 37 of La Liga against Real Sociedad at Anoeta, Sunday (12/5) evening WIB, Zidane insisted it was not important to reply to Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett. For Zidane the focus is only on preparing the team for the next match.
“No, I don’t want to answer (Bale’s agent’s comment), I am a Real Madrid coach and he is doing his job. I have to think about the game, play well, that’s what worries me,” Zidane said, quoted by Marca.
Zidane and Bale allegedly spoke to each other this week at a closed meeting to discuss the future of the Welsh player. Nevertheless, Zidane continued to dodge media questions and was firm.
“I will not tell you (the media) anything about it, private conversations are private talk. That is what I have to do with all players, but still be internal,” Zidane added.
“Did I speak to him? Maybe not or maybe yes; with the players I talked about other things, not just the future,” he concluded.
Bale insisted on staying, reportedly giving a headache to Madrid officials. They want to sell him in the transfer market in order to get enough money from the sales to purchase other players, however, Bale did not want to leave the club he had defended from 2013.
