Zlatan Ibrahimovic begins to lose with age

DBasia.news – Zlatan Ibrahimovic admits that he can’t push himself too much. His physique is increasingly frail, forcing the AC Milan striker to be more careful.

Ibrahimovic is now 39 years old. In fact, the Swede will turn 40 next week.

At that age, which is usually when a footballer retires, injuries are like a friend to Ibrahimovic. He had just suffered from a knee injury for four months.

The player, who had played for Ajax Amsterdam, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and LA Galaxy, made a comeback against Lazio two weeks ago. He even immediately made a goal, in AC Milan’s 2-0 win.

However, Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned to suffering from muscle injury after that. The player, who has scored 485 goals at club level, admits that he has to pay attention to his physical condition.

“When I was young, I just played, even if I had pain in the tendons, like today. I wanted to win and score goals, then stop. With time and experience, I realized how important it is to talk to your body,” he told Sportweek, as quoted by Calciomercato.

“Now my head is fine, but my body is getting old, it doesn’t always keep up and that’s been a problem.”

“This year, I have to listen to my body, every little signal it sends to me. Only then can I avoid worse consequences. I need to listen to my body every day to play consistently,” he added.
