DBasia.news – ZULHAMIZAN Zakaria confirmed no longer being with the Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) as the squad manager, this came into effect yesterday.
Hence, the former national and Pahang player will not guide The Cops to face the Malaysia Cup campaign starting Saturday.
“As a professional coach, I accept the termination of this contract open-heartedly after doing my best to help PDRM to score the best in Premier League match.
“My contract was terminated because it did not reach the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) that would qualify for the Super League next season,” he said, guiding The Cops since December last year.
This season, The Cops finish fifth in the Premier League and qualify for the Malaysia Cup.
The termination of the Zulhamizan’s contract results to the assistant coach of PDRM, Fauzi Pilus taking over the task
Despite being no longer with The Cops, Zulhamizan believes the squad could be competitive when voted in Group B with PKNS FC, Melaka United and FELDA United FC.
“I hope the line-up will put on a fight despite having to face two Super League teams including FELDA United who is also Premier League champion this season,” he said.
