After the PSG vs Galatasaray match, the Clubs’ Supporters Clashed

Quoted from the Daily Mail report, Thursday (12/12/2019) there were an estimated 100 supporters involved in the bloody incident. There was even a report that one PSG supporter was beaten and stripped naked by Galatasaray supporters for allegedly burning a Turkish flag.

The bloody clash itself occurred before the kick-off of the PSG vs Galatasaray match at the Parc des Princes Stadium. French media reports said that the clash began with the provocation of several supporters wearing black jackets and wearing balaclavas masks.

This is the first time the two teams met in Paris after 18 years and ended in a bloody clash. In addition to clashes outside the stadium, inside the stadium stands there also had incidents between the two supporters, although on a smaller scale.

PSG vs Galatasaray match itself ended with a score of five goals without reply to the victory of the host. PSG’s five winning goals were scored by Mauro Icardi, Pablo Sarabia, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Edinson Cavani.

Despite losing, Galatasaray, who is in third place in Group A, can still advance to the last 32 of the Europa League. Because elsewhere, Club Brugge suffered a 1-3 defeat to Real Madrid.
