DBasia.news – Massimiliano Allegri speaks up. He thinks Paulo Dybala could play as a striker. Allegri admits he has tried to place Dybala in that position.
Fact is, Paulo Dybala just performed full-time twice in 2018-2019 Serie A matches. Dybala seems to eliminated from Juventus’ attacking lines since Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival.
The condition made the supporters often criticized Allegri. They consider the player with a class like Paulo Dybala shouldn’t be on the bench.
Sitting on the bench too often made Paulo Dybala wasn’t involved in Argentina national team. In fact, previously he was expected to be the deadly duet with Mauro Icardi.

However, Allegri defended his decision. Allegri admits that he is preparing Juventus’ system to allow Paulo Dybala shines.
“I could play Dybala as a striker. I think it’s possible, yes. If you remember, this is something we already tried a couple of seasons ago,” Allegri said in Juventus’ official website.
“If we play with this system, we need two wingers playing more offensive because Paulo is not a player who only plays in the box, he likes coming back.”
“Therefore, I have to use him according to his characteristics. If he plays as a striker then we need our wingers and midfielders coming into the box to finalize the play,” Allegri added.
Since joining Juventus in 2015, Paulo Dybala has played in 143 matches. From that performance, he scored 68 goals and 25 assists.
