Amazing, A Japanese Fan Went 33 Hours to Watch Boca Juniors

DBasia.news – The fanatic fans can do everything, including the sacrifice to watch their beloved team in a match. Just like this one Japan fan.

His name is Isamu Kato. He is the fanatic fan of the historic and huge Argentinian team, Boca Juniors. When he heard the beloved team qualified for the Copa Libertadores, Isamu went to Argentina.

His desire to watch Boca was unstoppable considering the opponent is the Argentinian rival, River Plate. Throughout Copa Libertadores history, it’s the first time Boca and River meet in the final round. Just like El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid, or Der Klassiker of Borussia Dortmund Vs Bayern Munchen, the match between River and Boca is called Superclasico.

Superclasico is known as one of the most important and dangerous derby matches putting the team’s dignity at stake. Both Boca and River are two famous and successful teams in Argentina. That’s why there is a word ‘super’ before the Clasico.

Isamu went 33 hours from Tokyo to Argentina just to see Carlos Tevez and friends play. Unfortunately, it seems like God didn’t permit him to watch the match, because the match at Bombonera was postponed.

Heavy rain at the stadium caused the pitch muddy and flooded. The match official decided the match couldn’t be conducted and postponed, announced 90 minutes before the match started.

Isamu canceled to watch the match and what made it worse, he just has 24 hours to stay in Argentina before returning to Tokyo.

“The plane was delayed but arrived safely in Buenos Aires. Libertadores Cup finals, 11 hours remaining until kickoff, 19 hours remaining to return home. I have fun,” Isamu tweeted in his account @IsamiLito.

Certainly, Isamu was disappointed can’t watch the Superclasico. Nevertheless, Isamu is in Argentina (and perhaps back in Tokyo for now) and enjoyed his holiday for a while.

When Isamu is no longer at Argentina, the match was conducted. The first leg Copa Libertadores ended with a 2-2 score. The second leg will be conducted at El Monumental, River’s home, on Sunday (25/11).
