Andros Townsend Claims Real Madrid Should Have Made a Statue for Gareth Bale

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Former teammate of Gareth Bale at Tottenham Hotspur, Andros Towsend regrets Real Madrid’s attitude towards his friend. According to him, Los Blancos had to make a special statue for the Welsh national team player.

“Actually, I also don’t like Gareth Bale’s attitude on the bench, he also plays golf and annoys the staff,” he said as quoted by ITV Sport, Wednesday (16/9).

“But with everything Gareth Bale has done for the club, his goal in the Champions League final against Atletico Madrid, and the two goals against Liverpool which resulted in the Champions League trophy, he deserves a statue,” said Towsend.

Towsend admitted that he was disappointed to see Real Madrid supporters, some of the mass media, and the club actually insulted him. He is of the opinion, Zinedine Zidane as coach does not support Bale to stay comfortable where he is today.

He feels that Bale is always positioned as an irresponsible and often controversial figure. Towsend did not fully blame Bale’s behavior, which seemed ruthless.

On the other hand, sports journalist Duncan Castles reports that Spurs are ready to repatriate Bale to North London in the near future by borrowing him from Real Madrid.

However, there has been no further news about the return of Bale in The Lilywhites uniform. It was indicated that Zidane did not include Bale in the list of main players, confirmed this speculation.
