DBasia.news – Atletico Madrid striker, Angel Correa believes that the club’s mainstay goalkeeper, Jan Oblak will stay because he is happy.
The Slovenian keeper has lately been linked to leaving the Spanish League club in the summer. This is not separated from his brilliant appearance under the crossbar.
Chelsea is reported to be the most serious applicant in wanting to bring in Jan Oblak from Estadio Wanda Metropolitano. From various reports, the Blues is interested in the goalkeeper as he is considered appropriate to replace the position of Kepa Arrizabalaga who has appeared inconsistent.
Oblak received high interest from the Premier League club, the club immediately responded and Atletico Madrid President, Enrique Cerezo conveyed that they did not intend to sell their best goalkeeper.
Now, Angel Correa also revealed that his teammate did not need to leave. The reason, Jan Oblak has played at big clubs in Europe. He also felt lucky that his team has a goalkeeper like him.
Speaking to Marca, Correa said he had never seen a goalkeeper as good as him. The player also said his team was happy to be able to take him to Atletico. He is a goalkeeper who gives a lot of security and has provided many victories for the team over the years.
Angel Correa also said that Jan Oblak seems to be very happy here. He likes living in Madrid. He deserves everything because he’s number one. The big clubs in the world today want him, but he doesn’t need it because he is already at Atleti.
Meanwhile, in order to make the best goalkeeper not leave the club, Atletico reportedly has set a high selling price of 120 million euros, or about 2 trillion for the player and of course it can be challenging for Chelsea to obtain him. The reason, they are also targeting Kai Havertz and had previously also brought in Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner by spending a large fee.
At Atletico Madrid, Jan Oblak has played 256 appearances, keeping 139 clean sheets since joining in 2014. Even this season in La Liga he has been irreplaceable under the crossbar.
