Appeared Riveting in Ligue 1, Memphis Depay Receives a New Contract Offer in Lyon

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Olympique Lyon President, Jean-Michel Aulas, is eager to offer a new contract extension to Memphis Depay who showed their outstanding performance in Ligue 1.

Depay, 25, has been a star in Ligue 1 since being banned from Manchester United in January 2017 and has now scored 11 goals in 14 appearances in all competitions this season.

The Dutch international player also played an important role in his country’s qualification for Euro 2020, which became the first major tournament since the 2014 World Cup.

With Depay, whose contract will expire in June 2021, Aulas as club president hopes his player will agree to patent his future.

“He will determine (his future),” Aulas told beIN Sports. “We will make a contract extension proposal as he is an extraordinary player.

“He is a charming man. For me, he is not only a great player, but also attractive.

Aulas also said he was thrilled with coach Rudi Garcia’s decision to make Depay captain of the team.

“I appreciated him when he was appointed as captain,” continued Aulas.

“We also have two or three vice captains, including Leo Dubois who is injured. This is a good choice. “
