Argentina in Group A of the 2020 Copa America

DBasia.news –  CONMEBOL has announced the results of the 2020 Copa America group draw. As a result, Argentina is in group A and separated from Brazil in group B.

Argentina joined in Group A with five other teams. They have to compete against Chile, Uruguay, and Australia to get tickets to the knockout round. The other two teams included in group A are Bolivia and Paraguay.

The Argentine national team faces Chile in the inaugural Copa America 2020 party. According to Albiceleste’s coach, Lionel Scaloni, Chile is a team that has been difficult for Argentina in recent years.

“I am happy because we will face Chile in the inaugural party. The inaugural party in each tournament is the most difficult match. Moreover, we will face Chile which has always troubled Argentina in the last few years,” Scaloni was quoted as saying on the Bleacher Report page.

In group B, the defending champion, Brazil, did not get too heavy an opponent. Neymar cs joined with Qatar, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Of the five teams, Colombia looks set to be Selecao’s toughest opponents in the Copa America 2020 group stage. 

Next year’s Copa America will be held in Colombia and Argentina. Group A will take place in Argentina and Group B will take place in Colombia. The group phase will begin on 12 June to 1 July 2020. Meanwhile, the group phase will take place from July 4 to July 12, 2020.
