Arsenal Officially Extend Gabriel Martinelli’s Contract

DBasia.news – Arsenal officially extended the contract of their young striker, Gabriel Martinelli. The new Brazilian striker contract has been extended until June 2024 with extension option.

The information came 48 hours after fellow Gunners young player, Bukayo Saka who is still 18 years old, also agreed to a new agreement for the long term.

The 19-year-old Martinelli has scored 10 goals in 26 matches for the club since moving from Brazilian club Ituano last year.

He has been absent for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury in a training session that requires surgery.

“I am very happy that Gabi has signed a new contract with us,” Arteta said.

“He is a very talented young player and impressed us with his performance, attitude and level of performance.”

“We are really looking forward to him fully back and watching his progress at the club” he concluded.

Martinelli is the first young player to score 10 goals in a season for Arsenal since Nicolas Anelka 20 years ago.
