Ashley Young and Olivier Giroud are getting closer to Inter Milan

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Inter Milan became the center of attention in the winter transfer market.  It seems that many players are the target of Inter, even so, there has been no meaningful movement from the Nerazzurri.

According to news from Italian journalists, especially two football transfer experts, Gianluca Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano, Inter directed by Antonio Conte will get two new players in the near future, namely Ashley Young (Manchester United) and Olivier Giroud (Chelsea).

Ashley Young, 34, was allegedly agreed to join Inter for an 18-month contract duration and was bought from Man United for 1.3 million pounds (1.5 million euros).  His contract expires at the end of the season and Inter uses the situation to recruit him.

To provide a place to play for the former Aston Villa and Watford players, Inter reportedly will loan Valentino Lazaro to other clubs.  The 22.4 million euros player rarely plays this season under the care of Antonio Conte after moving from Hertha Berlin in the summer.

Ashley Young has been playing for the Red Devils since 2011. His name began to be excluded at the moment under the direction of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer because Solskjaer has more confidence in young players at left-back (Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams) and right (Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot).

Young’s playing experience can add depth to Inter’s squad.  Mainly because he can play in many positions.  At Inter Young will meet with two former team-mates at United, Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.

Positive news also came from the 33-year-old French striker, Olivier Giroud.  Chelsea is believed to have agreed to sell it to Inter with a total tag of 6.5 million euros (five million euros plus a variable of 1.5 million euros).  Giroud will be contracted for two and a half years.

Like Young, Giroud’s contract will end at the end of the season with Chelsea.  Plus the lack of playing time given by Frank Lampard, the former Arsenal striker really wanted to leave Stamford Bridge.

Olivier Giroud is only the third choice on the front line after Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi.  In order to maintain fitness to play in the 2020 European Cup with the French national team, Giroud was advised to move by Didier Deschamps, coach of the French national team.

However, it is not easy for Giroud to get more playing time at Inter (if the transfer is realized).  Because Inter already has two attackers who are in good form, Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, plus Alexis Sanchez as a coating.
