Bale Expected to Be Real Madrid’s New Star

By news-admin

DBasia.news – In North London, Arsenal will start the new era without Arsene Wenger. While in Spain’s capital, Real Madrid will start the new season without the megastar, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 33-year-old Portuguese winger striker moved to Juventus with 100 million and an additional 12 million euro price tag. Ronaldo left after a big success with Madrid that he has been fighting with for 9 years.

Ronaldo won 4 Ballon d’Or and 4 Champions League titles during his journey with El Real. Not only succeed in achieving the trophy, Ronaldo also guaranteed 40 until 45 goals for each season, in all competition.

It won’t be easy for Madrid to play without Ronaldo, though the fact there is no such thing as irreplaceable player. But, it’s hard to ignore the fact of Ronaldo goals’ sharpness. This will be missed by Madrid this season.

Especially this time, Los Blancos hasn’t got the successor of Ronaldo in the summer transfer market. Madrid just recruited young talented players like Alvaro Odriozola, Andriy Lunin, and Vinicius Junior.

Madrid supporters worried their beloved club will be more difficult to compete with Barcelona in La Liga, also the chance to defend the Champions League titles for 4 consecutive times.

But according to Liverpool’s legend and former Madrid player Steve McManaman, Madrid will build the power around Gareth Bale. The Wales winger will be the main support of frontline after Ronaldo left. Bale is expected to replace his role and inspires Madrid during hard times.

“They’ve lost one of the best players in the world and need someone else. Obviously, they have Bale and [Karim] Benzema, but they need more reinforcements,” McManaman said reported by Marca.

“Barcelona won the league last year by a significant points margin. Barcelona are stronger than they were last year, while Real Madrid are weaker because they’ve lost Ronaldo.”

“I think Lopetegui wants Bale to take over the leadership role that Cristiano Ronaldo had. It’s very difficult because Ronaldo was averaging a goal per game, but Bale is a different type of player and a very dynamic one, who’ll have a magnificent season,” McManaman said.
