Bayer Leverkusen Must Be Ready If Kai Havertz Leaves
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Bayer Leverkusen must prepare if Kai Havertz has to leave next summer. The 21-year-old player is currently the target of Europe’s top clubs.
Initially Leverkusen hoped to keep Havertz longer. That’s because the player’s age is still relatively young.
But the BayArena-based club has changed their mind. They are now trying to make the most profit from the sale of Havertz.
“I can see that many clubs are interested in him (Havertz). I also see the desire of the player to take the next step in the near future that you must respect, just as you must respect the fact that he has a contract with us until 2022,” said CEO Leverkusen, Fernando Carro to Kolner Stadt Anzeiger.
Although still young, Havertz has become one of the strengths of Leverkusen. This season he has appeared 27 times in the Bundesliga and scored eleven goals and five assists.
Bayern Munich is one of the clubs most interested in buying Havertz. The German giant will compete with the Premier League trio namely Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United.
“You have to try to find a solution where the goals of the players can be reconciled with our goals. At the moment no one can say for sure what will happen,” he added.
Leverkusen will not release Havertz at a low price. The official price is believed to reach 80 million euros.
