Lampard says Kai Havertz and Timo Werner’s Future will be Bright with Chelsea

DBasia.news – Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard gave his assessment regarding Kai Havertz and Timo Werner’s debut in the Premier League. Lampard believes the two players has a bright future with Chelsea.

Kai Havertz and Timo Werner are two new players who received the chance to appear from the first minute against Brighton. Both of them played a part in the Blues’ 3-1 win at Amex Stadium.

In general, Timo Werner seemed to be playing better. The German striker was the creator of the penalty that Chelsea obtained. Meanwhile, Kai Havertz struggles to show his best performance.

“It’s not a game where you go and say Kai Havertz has 10 unforgettable moments. However, I think there are still moments of quality and calm that happen,” Lampard told Sky Sports.

“This is a big question. There is a lot on his shoulders regarding the fact of heading to a different league at a young age,” the former Manchester City player continued.

“We also saw him running backwards to tackle the defensive side and intercept to get the ball. So everything I see about Havertz in terms of playing style is still very precise. His quality will show.”

“There were a lot of doubts tonight, but we saw his quality at a glance and there is much more in the future. I think he is a very talented young player.”

After Havertz, Lampard also gave Werner an assessment. “I like the way Timo Werner comes from various regions. He is not a striker who is very close to a center-back,” said Lampard.

“Sometimes, he can play deeper, but also to the outside. We see his main weapon is speed. He has the hunger to score goals and be cruel in those areas. So I think we have a lot of signals from Werner about what is going to be given. “

An additional three points has made Chelsea occupy third place in the standings. Next, the Blues will face Liverpool on Sunday (20/9).
