DBasia.news – Looking for the successor of Arjen Robben who will leave this season is not the only priority for Bayern Munchen. Bayern are also regenerating the squad and ready to release the buyout clause of Lucas Hernandez.

Marca reported Bayern will pay the buyout clause of Atletico Madrid left-winger worth 85 million euro or £80M. Hernandez is needed because Bayern are too dependent on David Alaba.

Bayern coach Niko Kovac just has Alaba as the left-back. Rafinha, who often placed in that position, is not the real left-back. With no competitor, Alaba won’t be performing optimum considering the absence of rival in his position.

Hernandez, 22, has the required profile for other Europe big clubs. The brother of Real Madrid defender Theo Hernandez who is in Real Sociedad also has the experience achieving the Europa League and Europe Super Cup trophies, also went to the final round of 2015-2016 Champions League.

The climax of his achievement is the 2018 World Cup title with France national team. Hernandez was the irreplaceable left-back in France under Didier Deschamps.

The player who was born in Marseille, February 14th, 1996 just renewed his contract until 2024. But, the temptation to join a club like Bayern is hard to resist for his career development. Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge doesn’t deny the interest in Hernandez.

“Let’s wait and see. I cannot confirm nor deny. We are currently in the consideration phase, whether we will do something in January. It’s not done yet,” Rummenigge told Bild.

Atletico President, Enrique Cerezo has a different answer. He admits Atletico won’t bother thinking about Bayern’s movement to Hernandez because he wants to stay in the squad.

“Right now Lucas Hernandez is an Atletico Madrid player. He wants to stay with us,” Cerezo emphasized.

“Let them pay his €80m release. We are putting together a great team, not selling it off,” he continued. The transfer saga of Hernandez is predicted would be long and complicated.
