Bayern Munich manager reveals the reasons for not playing Odriozola
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Bayern Munich manager, Hansi Flick, said he has still yet to decide when to give Alvaro Odriozola the chance to play. Since coming from Real Madrid, he has never played in a Bundesliga match.
Odriozola was brought to the Allianz Arena in the transfer market last winter to overcome the crisis at Bayern’s back line. So far, the Spanish player has not been given the opportunity to appear in the Bundesliga event by Flick.
“We need a coating player. However, we were also able to achieve considerable success in the second half of this season. So, I will not change the composition of the team if I do not play a match in the middle of the week, “Hansi Flick said as quoted on the club’s official website.
“So far, Alvaro Odriozola has been training very. I also like having a player of Odriozola caliber as an option. He has an extraordinary mentality and understands his role here well, “added Flick.
Odriozola’s name began to emerge when he was able to perform brilliantly with Real Sociedad in the 2017-18 season. The brilliant performance of Odriozola also attracted Real Madrid and made them willing to disburse funds of 30 million Euros in 2018.
Despite his exorbitant price, Odriozola found it challenging to penetrate Real Madrid’s first team. He is considered unable to replace Dani Carvajal and is only able to collect 27 appearances during one and a half seasons playing at the Santiago Bernabeu.
