DBasia.news – Boca Juniors won the Argentine Superliga 1-0 against Gimnasia La Plata, Monday (03/08). Daniele De Rossi, who retired in January, still won a medal from the results of the match.
De Rossi retired from the world of football last January due to a difficult injury recovery. But his appearance with Boca Juniors in the Argentine League helped him to win his first league title.
He joined the AS Roma senior team after the capital’s team won the Scudetto in 2001. During his 18 years with Rome, he only won two Coppa Italia titles and one Supercoppa Italia title. De Rossi’s highest achievement was when he led Italy to win the world cup title in 2006. De Rossi joined Boca in the summer of 2019.
According to reports from Argentine media, Ole, his five appearances with Boca this season have enabled him to take the league championship medal despite retiring from football.
Boca Juniors won their three titles in four years thanks to a goal from former Juve player, Carlos Tevez, against Gimnasia La Plata. It was also helped by the fact that their eternal rival, River Plate, failed to win against Atletico Tucuman. Boca are one point ahead of River in the league table.
