Brings Bayern Munchen to the Champions League, Coutinho Will Be Considered by Ronald Koeman in Barcelona
By db-admin
DBasia.news – New Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman is reportedly considering repatriating Philippe Coutinho to Camp Nou. Coutinho has just won the Champions League with Bayern Munich, the club who borrowed him from Barcelona.
The Brazilian national team player was only sent as a substitute when Bayern defeated the Blaugrana with a score of 8-2 in the Champions League quarter-finals. Even so, the former Liverpool player managed to score two goals and designed an assist in that match.
Coutinho has long been rumored to be leaving Barcelona this summer because of his high salary and difficulty getting into the first team.
In the Champions League final on Monday (24/8), Coutinho appeared in his last match with Bayern. As reported by Diario Sport, Coutinho may indeed have a future at Barcelona because Koeman considers him a potential player.
There will likely be significant changes to Barcelona ahead of the 2020-21 season following an embarrassing season without a trophy ending.
Coutinho is predicted to choose a team that will give him enough playing minutes. Coutinho wants to prove himself that his abilities are not exhausted and he deserves to strengthen the Brazilian national team.
“I haven’t thought much about it yet. I’m just focused on the final. One thing I can say is that I really want to work hard to have a great year. However, let’s see what happens.”
Some media reported that Philippe Coutinho is Arsenal’s top target in the transfer market. However, it must be seen first whether The Gunners can meet Barcelona’s request.
