By db-admin

DBasia.news – Bundesliga season 2019-2020 has the chance to continue in the near future. That was after the German health minister and regional leaders said the competition could potentially continue on May 9th.

The Bundesliga was threatened to be stopped because the German government extended social distancing rules until the end of August. All sports activities automatically is also prohibited from taking place within this time period.

But the highest caste competition in Germany could be held in the near future. The requirement is to hold a match without an audience.

This opportunity must be maximally utilized by the Bundesliga and participating clubs. The CEO of the Bundesliga Operator (DFL), Christian Seifert called on relevant parties to maintain this trust for the sake of competition.

“It’s like walking on a rope. We must now be careful not to overdo it or be reckless,” Seifert said as quoted by Bild.

“The government trusts us. Now it is Amami’s turn and the players, especially those who must become role models.”

Despite the opportunity to be held back, the Bundesliga leaves some homework. The clubs must be able to ensure the security and safety of the players with standardized procedures.

“The prerequisite is a concept that is very well thought out. What the DFL presented in the last few days shows that there is protection,” he added.

This news with enthusiasm by the Bundesliga clubs. Bayern Munich CEO, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is ready to answer this belief to the fullest.

“This is a very positive signal for the resumption of this season. It is important for us to carefully comply with legal and medical guidelines to minimize health risks,” Rummenigge said.

The 2019-2020 Bundesliga season leaves nine more weeks. Bayern Munich currently still leads the standings with 55 points and four points ahead of Borussia Dortmund in second place.
