Heiko Herrlich Violates the Corona Virus Protocol in Germany

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Heiko Herrlich will not accompany Augsburg when restarting the Bundesliga, as he has violated the rules or protocols of the corona virus.

The Bundesliga health protocol requires all teams and coaching staff to quarantine for seven days before the competition resume, Augsburg has implemented this policy by placing all team members in a hotel.

Unfortunately Herrlich has violated these rules. He left the hotel without wearing a mask to purchase toothpaste at a supermarket.

“I made the mistake of leaving the hotel because the conditions made me do so. I didn’t have toothpaste and then went to the nearest supermarket,” Herrlich said as quoted by the BBC.

“I made a big mistake by leaving the hotel. While maintaining cleanliness when leaving the hotel, I have failed to set a good example for the squad and the community.”

As a result of this, Herrlich was unable to accompany Augsburg in starting a training session on Friday (5/15) local time. He was only allowed to accompany the team back after undergoing two corona virus tests with negative results.

Augsburg will host Wolfsburg at the WWK Arena, Saturday (5/16). This moment should be Herrlich’s debut match as he was appointed to the team on March 10 or a few days before the competition was suspended.

Herrlich’s careless behavior is certainly a valuable lesson for all Bundesliga players. All parties must be disciplined to comply with health protocols that have been developed so that the competition can be completed on time.
