Carlo Ancelotti plans to bring Sami Khedira to Everton
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Everton plans to bring Juventus player, Sami Khedira, in the January 2021 transfer market. This was revealed by Carlo Ancelotti as the coach of The Toffees.
The German player is no longer included in the plans for Andrea Pirlo’s Juventus squad. The 33 year old midfielder hasn’t played for a single minute this season.
Given his contract will expire at the end of the season, it is likely that Khedira’s time with Juve will end soon in January.
This move opened Ancelotti’s opportunity to reunite with Khedira. Yes, Ancelotti and Khedira were together when they were at Real Madrid.
Everton are likely to be looking for new ammunition in midfield following Allan’s injury.
“Sami Khedira is my player at Real Madrid, an important player for us,” Ancelotti sais as quoted by Goal.
“I have a good memory of him, but I don’t think we are looking for him at the moment,” added the Italian coach. “Maybe in January.”
On the other hand, Khedira admitted that he had spoken with Ancelotti. “We spoke on the phone,” Khedira told Bild. “You know my situation.”
Everton are currently preparing to face Arsenal in the Premier League at Goodison Park on Sunday (20/12) am.
