Chelsea Questions FIFA’s Sanctions to Manchester City
DBasia.news – Chelsea reportedly questioned the related sanctions imposed by the world soccer federation, FIFA to Manchester City. City has only been sanctioned by FIFA for violating the transfer of underage players.
Chelsea will continue to monitor the penalty related to City. The Blues reportedly felt it was unfair with the punishment FIFA has given to this club with the same case as City.
Chelsea has received a penalty of embargo on the purchase of players in the two transfer markets for violating article 19 regarding the purchase of minors. A different punishment was actually received by City.
Pep Guardiola’s club only received a fine of 315 thousand euro, however, FIFA did not impose an embargo on the purchase of players like Chelsea.
“In the decision at Manchester City, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee considered many factors and all relevant facts,” said a FIFA spokesman. “It is important to emphasize that in some cases City’s case is different from the previous case (the Chelsea case).”
