Chelsea sacrificed Ross Barkley for Declan Rice’s Transfer

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Premier League club, Chelsea is reported to be preparing an offer to bring in Declan Rice from West Ham. They plan to include Ross Barkley’s name in the transfer deal.

It is reported that Chelsea has not stopped moving in the 2020 summer transfer market. After taking another step towards bringing in Rennais goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy, Chelsea has switched to the midfield sector.

Reportedly, Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard had asked management to sign Declan Rice. Lampard was attracted by Rice’s action as a defensive midfielder.

Last season, Rice performed well in West Ham’s midfield. The 21-year-old midfielder made 39 appearances with a record of one goal plus three assists.

Currently, Chelsea already has N’Golo Kante who can play a role in that position. However, the French player was frequently injured last season. In addition, Kante is reportedly being targeted by Inter Milan.

Italian transfer expert, Nicolo Schira, reported that Chelsea has made the first offer worth 45 million euros plus a bonus of 5 million euros. However, the offer did not make West Ham open the door.

Chelsea refused to give up. Chelsea’s second offer will be worth 60 million euros, including bonuses. Reportedly, West Ham has set a price of 80 million euros for the British player.

Chelsea are predicted to sell a number of players to be able to approach West Ham’s request. Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri and Olivier Giroud are among the names linked with leaving Stamford Bridge.
