Coaching Montreal Impact, Thierry Henry Learns Bitter Experiences in Monaco

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Experience teaches everything. That principle is held by Thierry Henry who was appointed to train Montreal Impact after previously coaching Monaco.

Thierry Henry left his position as assistant coach of the Belgian national team in October 2018. At that time, Henry began his managerial career by handling AS Monaco.

Unfortunately, Thierry Henry’s debut in the managerial world did not go well. Henry served only three months as AS Monaco coach after receiving less than maximum results.

From 20 matches with AS Monaco, Thierry Henry swallowed 11 defeats. After a dark period at his former club, the man from France intends to open a new page with Montreal Impact.

Thierry Henry was officially introduced as the new Montreal Impact coach. In his introduction, Henry claimed to learn a lot from failure while caring for AS Monaco.

“You have to start working somewhere, that’s how you get experience. For me, it was obtained with the Belgian national team and AS Monaco. I learned a lot there,” said Thierry Henry.

“This is not just a story of my life, everyone has failed. However, the most important thing is how you can get up. I failed at AS Monaco.”

“I could have given a reason, but in the end, I did fail. Now, I am handling the Montreal Impact. I have learned a lot from mistakes in AS Monaco,” he continued.

Thierry Henry replaces fired Wilmer Cabrera. The results of the 2019-2020 season that made the Montreal Impact ranked only ninth in the eastern MLS were the reason.
