Cristiano Ronaldo Becomes the Fastest Player at Juventus
By db-admin
DBasia.news – According to info from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Cristiano Ronaldo is the fastest Juventus player at the moment. This is definitely great considering that he is 34 years old.
This was proven through the first two Serie A 2019-20 matches against Parma and Napoli. Juventus won 1-0 over Parma and then a 4-3 win over Napoli, Ronaldo scored a goal against Partenopei at the Allianz Stadium.
In both matches, Ronaldo reached speeds of 34 kilometers per hour, running 92 meters in less than 12 seconds which led to goals from his team mate, Danilo. The speed has beaten three players younger than him: Danilo (28 years), Alex Sandro (28 years), and Douglas Costa (28 years).
As a reference, Usain Bolt’s average speed when breaking the world record of running 100 meters in 2009 was 37.58 kilometers per hour. Moreover, Ronaldo is one of seven players aged 30 years or older in Maurizio Sarri’s current squad.
Besides Ronaldo, there are Gianluigi Buffon (41 years), Giorgio Chiellini (35 years), Mario Mandzukic (33 years), Leonardo Bonucci, Sami Khedira, and Blaise Matuidi (32 years), and Gonzalo Higuain (31 years).
The primacy of Ronaldo’s condition cannot be separated from his enthusiasm, motivation and hard work to stay on top of the world. When Ronaldo underwent a medical test when he first joined Real Madrid, Juventus medical staff were surprised as Ronaldo’s body condition was that of a 28-year-old player.
It is interesting to look forward to what age the Sporting Lisbon academy product would continue to play. His journey will be awaited with other veteran athletes such as Tom Brady (42 years), Roger Federer (38 years), LeBron James (34 years), Rafael Nadal (33 years), Novak Djokovic (32 years), Buffon (41 years), and Serena.
