Cristiano Ronaldo Sets Record on Instagram

DBasia.news –  Cristiano Ronaldo broke the record on the number of followers on Instagram. He became the first person to have an Instagram account with up to 200 million followers.

Ronaldo uploaded a collection of photos of himself since he was a child until now on his Instagram, Thursday (1/30/2020). The video is a form of gratitude towards followers on Instagram which now has reached 200 million accounts.

The 200 million followers has made CR7 a celebrity with the most followers on Instagram at the moment. Ronaldo has beat the number of followers of other world celebrities such as Ariana Grande (172 million) and Dwayne Johnson (169 million).

Ronaldo’s @cristiano account is even 60 million followers ahead of his main rival in football, Lionel Messi. La Pulga now has 141 million followers on Instagram.

Ronaldo is actively sharing photos and videos through his Instagram account. Not only uploading his special moments, the Portuguese star also made Instagram a place to find profit.

According to a study released by social media planning company Hopper HQ, Ronaldo earned a profit of 47.8 million US dollars (Rp. 688 billion) from paid posts on Instagram. The 34-year-old player receives an average of around 975 thousand US dollars (Rp. 13.78 billion) for one upload.

The profit from Instagram exceeds the total revenue received by Ronaldo from his club, Juventus. CR7 receives a salary of 34 million US dollars (Rp. 480 billion) per season with the Old Lady, as well as being the player with the highest wages in Serie A.

Besides Instagram, Ronaldo also has millions of followers on other social media platforms. His Twitter account is followed by 82 million followers, while on Facebook he has 122 million fans who follow him.
