Dani Alves’ Experience Will be Useful for Barcelona
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Barcelona signed Dani Alves even though he is not young anymore. Barcelona need Alves’ experience to help young players.
Barcelona has faced a lot of problems this season, both on and off the pitch. On the field, the Blaugrana appear inconsistent and are now stuck in ninth place in the Spanish League standings.
The financial crisis made Barcelona unable to move freely in spending on players. In the process, one of the steps that Barcelona took to strengthen the squad was to repatriate Dani Alves.
Dani Alves returns to Camp Nou after being recruited by Barcelona recently. The 38-year-old defender joined on a free transfer after canceling his contract with Sao Paolo in September.
Dani Alves is contracted until the end of the season. However, due to a collision with the rules for registering players in LaLiga, the Brazilian footballer can only strengthen Barcelona starting next January.
“From the club, the position is that this is a player who once had a very important role, who can play and has the experience of a champion who can really help young players,” said adviser to Barcelona president Joan Laporta, Enric Masip, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.
“He’s a player who joined for free, who came with a purpose and to help. Sometimes, when you can’t sign anyone, getting a player with this ability for free can help.”
“Player education itself is still important and we continue to provide opportunities for young players,” he added.
Dani Alves achieved great success in his first spell at Barcelona in 2008-2016. He won a total of 23 trophies, including six LaLiga titles and three Champions League titles.
