David Silva Praised Pep Guardiola after creating a beautiful goal
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola praised David Silva who contributed greatly when The Citizen won over Newcastle United with a score of 5-0, Thursday (9/7) AM.
In that match, Silva scored one goal through a beautiful free kick and sent two assists for the goals of Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling.
What he showed in the match, according to Guardiola was the reason why he and Man City wanted to provide a festive commemoration match for Silva whose contract would expire this season after 10 years at Manchester.
“What he has done is extraordinary, fantastic,” Guardiola said.
“Not just for today’s performance, but for the past 10 years. We want people to come to Etihad, attend the competition match as one of the club’s legends,” he added.
According to Guardiola, since The Citizens returned to training after strict regional quarantine rules due to the Covid-19 pandemic was loosened, Silva continued to show his hard work and be in good rhythm every time he appeared in the match.
“As I said, his hard work is extraordinary. Young players must make David an example.”
“He never talks much, but he always exemplifies the work ethic in each training session. He is a formidable competitor,” concluded Guardiola.
In fact, Guardiola hopes Man City can add to his trophies this season, having won the English League Cup, by performing optimally in the FA Cup and Champions League as a perfect farewell to Silva.
“Of course. For him, for Sergio Aguero, as good as the farewell for Vincent Kompany last season,” he concluded.
