Dayot Upamecano enters Arsenal’s transfer radar

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Arsenal is looking for a solution to fix the fragility of the back line. They are eyeing RB Leipzig center back, Dayot Upamecano.

The defense sector is one of Arsenal’s weak points this season. In the Premier League, the Gunners have conceded 30 times. In fact, the number is more than the goals scored.

Not surprisingly, Mikel Arteta ordered Arsenal’s management to look for a formidable defender in the 2020 winter transfer market. London Football said Arsenal returned to their old target, Dayot Upamecano.

In the summer of last year, Arsenal had made a bid of 40 million euros. However, the proposal was rejected mentally by RB Leipzig. Leipzig feels the offer offered by the Gunners is too small.

Dayot Upamecano is currently labeled one of the best young defenders in Europe. In the game, the 21-year-old defender often relies on speed and physical strength to stem the opponent’s attacks.

Last season, Dayot Upamecano performed 22 matches in various competitions. Upamecano played a role in bringing Leipzig through the top four of the Bundesliga final standings.

Based on the Mirror report, there is a redemption clause in the Dayot Upamecano contract. The value to activate the clause reaches 92 million pounds.

Arsenal is likely to approach Dayot Upamecano first so they don’t need to activate the release clause. That way, the player can ask RB Leipzig to let go.
