Defeating Arsenal, Chelsea Will Be Premier League Champion? Not Yet

DBasia.news – Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri considered his team are not yet entitled the champion candidate of the Premier League though defeating Arsenal in the second-week match. Sarri thought there are many things needed to improve in The Blues.

Chelsea started the 2018-2019 Premier League smoothly. After winning from Huddersfield 3-0 in the first week, The Blues also served Arsenal’s fight with a 3-2 score.

Both results made Chelsea stay in the top standings of Premier League with 6 points. This is equal with Tottenham, but The Blues have the goal difference.

Consequently, Chelsea supporters think their beloved team could be the next champion of the Premier League. But, Sarri wants to be humble.

“No, not in this moment. We did very well in the last 25 minutes, but I think we have to work,” Sarri said quoted by FourFourTwo.

“We have to improve in the defensive phase and I’m not talking about only the defenders. The defensive phase of all the team, all the players.”

“If we press very high, we are able to do well. But, at the other moments, when we are not able to press in the other half, we are in trouble. So I think we have to work and we need to improve,” Sarri continued.

Chelsea will visit Newcastle United home at Saint James Park in the third week of 2018-2019 Premier League. The match will be conducted on Sunday (26/08).
